Buffalo area horse racing fans have a large menu to choose from this Labor Day weekend.
The Fort Erie (first post 1:05 p.m.) and Finger Lakes (12:45) thoroughbred tracks are open each day and have multiple stakes races scheduled on Monday.
At the Fort, Monday's attractions are a pair of $30,000-added turf stakes -- the Puss 'n Boots for males and the Miss Moneypenny for females.
At Finger Lakes, the holiday card is topped by the $100,000-added New York Breeders' Futurity for 2-year-olds and the $60,000 New York Oaks for 3-year-old fillies.
Buffalo Raceway presents a nine-race card of harness racing tonight at 7:30. The feature is a $4,000 handicap pace pitting last-time winners Avon Peter C and Sexy Dragon. The Raceway is not open on Sunday or Monday.
Across the state, the Saratoga thoroughbred meet concludes with 1 p.m. cards today through Monday.
