The city's annual farewell to summer will be held Sunday -- the 19th Labor Day Festival in Bergman Park.
Event organizer Bonnie Maegers of the Jamestown Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department, said Tuesday activities begin in the morning.
"The past few years we're had an arts and crafts show," she said. "That'll get underway at 10 in the morning. By noon, all of our concessionaires will be established in their positions, and then at 1 o'clock, the music will begin under the big tent with the Harmony Express Barbershoppers."
The annual George Ritzer Labor Award will be presented at 3:30 p.m. The day will be capped off with a fireworks display at 8:30 p.m.
Free bus transportation to Bergman Park will be available from a number of downtown locations beginning at noon.
