Percy E. Brighon II, 54, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, died unexpectedly Thursday (Jan. 28, 1999) in Veterans Hospital.
A Buffalo native, he grew up in a family of nine on the city's East Side. He was a graduate of East High School and Erie Community College and attended the University at Buffalo.
He served in the Air Force for three years.
He was married to the former Sharon B. Rainey.
Brighon worked various jobs at Republic Steel Corp., Bethlehem Steel Corp. and Curtiss-Wright Corp.
Survivors include two daughters, Anne C. Borders of Alabama and Bernadette Dockery; six sons, Percy, Vladimir, Arthur of North Carolina, Darryl, Rashan and Edward; a brother, William; three sisters, Edna Abrams of North Carolina, Dorothy Gray and Geneva Henderson; and six grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Memorial Temple Christian Ministries, 800 Sycamore St.
