Charles L. Scinta, 65, died Friday (Jan. 29, 1999) at home after a long illness.
Scinta worked for Ward Bros. Mill Supply as a plumber for 20 years, for IRR Supply Co. for five years, and was vice president of Territory Wholesales for 17 years. In addition, he owned and operated Lockport Plumbing Supply for four years until he retired.
Born in Lockport, he was a longtime member of St. Joseph's Church.
Scinta served in the Navy aboard the USS Wrangell during the Korean War.
He was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife, the former Viola J. Bucolo; two sons, Roy and Daniel; three daughters, Anne Klumpp of Newfane, and Rosemary Rongo and Prudence; two brothers, Roy of Georgia and Richard; and three grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph's Church, 391 Market St., following services at 9:30 in Gaul Funeral Home, 263 East Ave. Burial will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
