Mickey Rooney is back on stage as the man behind the curtain, the guy in charge of handing out brains, hearts and a bit of c-c-courage.
Rooney said he gets a charge out of his role as the wizard in a touring company of "The Wizard of Oz," a musical that opened Thursday at the Wang Center.
The 78-year-old showman of stage and screen doesn't plan to slow down any time soon.
"I love what I'm doing. I guess that energizes when you love what you're doing. Age is nothing but experience, and some of us are more experienced than others," Rooney said.
