A nationally televised game against Michigan in the Carrier Dome on Sept. 18 highlights the 1999 football schedule for Syracuse University. Syracuse will play four of its first five games at home.

The Orangemen open the season at Toledo on Sept. 4 then return to the Carrier Dome for four consecutive games: Central Michigan, Michigan, West Virginia and Tulane.

Syracuse will play at Pittsburgh on Oct. 7 in ESPN's weekly Thursday night game. Syracuse travels to Virginia Tech on Oct. 16 before getting an off weekend Oct. 23. Then the Orangemen host Boston College and Temple, and visit Rutgers and Miami.

Three-time Big East champion Syracuse finished 1998 with an 8-3 record.
