A Lackawanna couple with a long history of arrests on drug charges was arrested again Thursday afternoon by city detectives using a search warrant.
James Hatten, 60, and Betty Barnes, 41, were arrested in their home at 186 Ingham Ave., where detectives said they found more than one-eighth of on an ounce of crack cocaine inside a stove pipe.
It was the third raid of the home since October 1994, Detective Capt. Thomas Brooks said today.
Building inspectors are scheduled to visit the house, which had more than six inches of water in the basement and was in deplorable condition, Brooks said.
The couple was charged with possession of crack, possession of marijuana and possession of a hypodermic needle by Detectives Paul Sojda, Joseph Leo and Allen Knaszak.
