Salvatore C. Molaro Sr., 88, a native of Sicily and a retired millwright, died Wednesday (Jan. 27, 1999) at home under Hospice family care.

He was born in Caltanisetta, Sicily. He retired in 1975 from the GTE Sylvania plant in Batavia.

Survivors include his wife, the former Barbara Hahn; four daughters, Phyliss McDonald of Cheektowaga, Concetta of Buffalo, Barbara Hendershott of Oakfield and Nadine Schutt of East Pembroke; five sons, Timothy and Joseph A. Molaro and Frank Shamrock, all of Oakfield, Salvatore C. Jr. of Blissfield, Mich., and Michael J. of Atlanta; three sisters, Michelina Iacona and Phyliss Falzone, both of Buffalo, and Margaret Pastore of Fairlawn, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, 55 Maple Ave.
