A man accused of trying to kill his wife with a butcher knife told police he was upset by her suspected "cybersex" affair with another man.
Francis Kolb, 63, said he obtained a picture of his alleged rival from the Internet on the day of the attack. It drove him into a jealous rage.
Kolb said attacked his wife, but a son, Roy, heard the struggle and pulled his father off his mother. Police arrested Kolb Monday at Lee Memorial Hospital, where he drove his wife for treatment of a stab wound to the cheek. She is in stable condition.
According to statements, the Kolbs had been at odds over the wife's Internet intimacy with the man, whom she met in a computer chat room eight months ago.
