Buffalo police are seeking help this week in tracking down a suspect wanted for the possession of a forged instrument, forgery and larceny.

Thereon Collins is described as a 26-year-old black male weighing 220 pounds who stands about 6 feet, 2 inches tall.

Police have warrants for his arrest on the charges of forgery, possession of a forged instrument and other charges. He is accused of stealing checks from a neighbor's mail in October and using one of the checks to purchase a car. The check bounced, and the seller was cheated out of a car, police said.

Collins, say police, was out on bail for an unrelated charge at the time of this crime.
