Jean M. Castle, 73, of Gothic Lane, a retired dental assistant for her husband, Dr. William E. Castle III, died Sunday (Jan. 24, 1999) in Lockport Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

A native of Milwaukee, the former Jean Maliszko graduated from Marquette University.

A Lockport resident since 1948, she was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and Lockport Town & Country Club.

Surviving, besides her husband, are two sons, Michael of Schenectady and William of Gasport; five daughters, Mary Beth Caswell of Gasport, Carolyn LaDue of Greenville, S.C., Ann McCurn of Phillipston, Mass., Kerry of Provincetown, Mass., and Stacy Giansante; a sister, Ann Bussier of Milwaukee; 24 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Patrick's Church, 76 Church St., after prayers at 9:30 in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St.
