The Niagara Aerospace Museum has received $10,000 from the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo to buy and transport several aircraft to the Wheatfield museum, and to install interactive educational displays at the site.

Dedicated to preserving Western New York's aviation heritage, the museum at Summit Park Mall is the home of the last aircraft built at Bell Aircraft -- an X-22A on loan from the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola, Fla. -- as well as several other aircraft types.

Artifacts and photographs from the period between 1915 and 1966 when 40,000 aircraft rolled off assembly lines here also are on display.
