STOKES LEADS TURNER/CARROLL TO ROMP

Leonard Stokes turned in another solid performance in leading Turner/Carroll to a 78-57 win over St. Mary's of Lancaster Saturday afternoon. Stokes had 25 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals in leading the Chargers to their fourth Mgsr. Martin Association win without a loss.

Stokes wasn't the high scorer for Turner/Carroll; that distinction went to Julius Page and his 28 points. Dave Hall had 25 for St. Mary's (4-7, 1-4).

ECIC I: Orchard Park had an easy time in a 66-39 win over Williamsville North. Brian Dux led the Quakers with 19 points. Sean Murphy had 12 for the Spartans.

ECIC IV: Cleveland Hill held off a late rally by Holland to pull out a 48-45 win. Bob Boyce scored 17 for the Eagles, while Nick Rose had 11 for the Dutchmen.

Non-league: Medina outscored Park, 22-10, in overtime in finishing off a 93-81 win. The Mustangs received 26 points from Joe Sanders and 21 from Tom Hungerford. The Pioneers, who had a 38-26 lead at the half, were paced by Jason Hargrove's 31 points.

Girls Basketball

ECIC III: Val Jacobs had 24 points and 16 rebounds to lead Iroquois (7-4, 4-1) to a 55-47 win over Amherst. Beckie Causley had 20 points for the Tigers (6-4, 3-2).

CCIAC III: Clymer stayed unbeaten in division play (12-1, 6-0) with a 53-46 win over Pine Valley. Karri Borst had 27 for the Pirates, while Tiffany Butcher and Jackie Smith had 11 each for the Panthers (9-3, 4-2). . . . Sherman used a 59-15 edge in rebounding to record a 44-21 win over Brocton. Megan Damcott had 20 points and 18 rebounds for the Wildcats, who improved to 11-1 overall. Kathy Smith had 12 points for Brocton.
