TODAY
Pancake Breakfast: Sponsored by the Barker Lions Club to benefit the Barker Fire Department's purchase of an Argus Imaging Camera will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Barker Fire Hall, 1660 Quaker Road. All you can eat pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, toast for $4 per adult, $2 for children under 12 and free for children under 5. Family tickets $12.

Spaghetti Dinner: The Men's Club of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church will sponsor its yearly pasta bowl dinner from noon to 5 p.m. in the church hall, 2499 Independence Ave. at 24th Street. The cost is $5 for adults, $2.50 for children 5 to 12, and free for children 4 and younger.

Arts Council Meeting: The Lewiston Council on the Arts has rescheduled its monthly meeting for 1 p.m. at the Red Brick School, 145 Fourth St., Suite 10, Lewiston.

Benefit Pasta Dinner: To raise funds for the family of Bill and Barbara Nashwinter, whose home was destroyed by fire on Dec. 13. The event will run from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Shawnee Fire Hall, 3747 Lockport Road, Sanborn. Tickets are $15 per person. Music, Chinese auction, 50-50 split. TUESDAY
Forum on Festival: A public forum on the 1999 Festival of Lights will be held at 8 a.m. and again at 7 p.m. in the festival's offices, fifth floor of the Niagara Office Building, 345 Third St., Niagara Falls. Open to all who can suggest ideas for next year's festival. Call 285-8484 for details.

WEDNESDAY
Environmental Meeting: To discuss the results of the state's environmental investigation of the Wurlitzer Area B site in North Tonawanda will begin at 7 p.m. in the North Tonawanda Public Library, 505 Meadow Dr. Staffers from the department of environmental conservation and the department of health will speak. Open to all.

SATURDAY
Internet Introduction: Class for beginners will be offered at the North Tonawanda Public Library, 505 Meadow Dr., from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and again on Feb. 2 and 24 and on March 10. Those three classes are scheduled for 7 to 8 p.m. To register, sign up at the reference desk or call 693-4132. Free.

Beanie Baby Day: Show off your collection by registering for a display table, discover the value of your babies, and register for a chance to win a Beanie Baby from 2 to 4 p.m. in the meeting room of the Lockport Public Library, 23 East Ave. No sales allowed.
