CLYDE V. URBAN JR.

Clyde V. Urban Jr., 75, a Navy war veteran and retired construction worker, died Thursday (Jan. 21, 1999) in Genesee Memorial Hospital in Batavia.

He served in World War II and the Korean War. He retired from working in construction overseas in Vietnam, Saudi Arabia and Africa.

He was a member of the Oakfield-Alabama Baptist Church and Oakfield-Alabama American Legion.

Besides his wife of 55 years, the former Eleanor Moodie, survivors include three sons, Scott of Rochester, Brian of Basom, and Douglas of Tennessee; four daughters, Sherry Polack of Oregon, Vicki Streiff of Medina, Wendy Berg of Iowa, and Janice Cadieux of East Pembroke; two brothers, Frederick of Springville and Donald of Nevada; 28 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Burdett and Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Ave. A full military burial will be conducted in Cary Cemetery in the spring.
