Roy H. Weisenborn, retired general sales manager of Ellicott Drug Co., died Sunday (Nov. 29, 1998) in his Buffalo home. He was 79.
Weisenborn retired in 1984 after 26 years with Ellicott Drug. Earlier, he was credit manager of Wildroot Co. for 12 years.
Born in Buffalo, he graduated in 1939 from Burgard Vocational High School, where he earned a letter in baseball and was a member of the school band and orchestra. He remained a big-band music and jazz lover all his life.
Weisenborn served in the Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II.
He was a member of Williamsville United Methodist Church.
An avid golfer, he was a member of East Aurora Country Club. He also coached youth baseball and hockey.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, the former Lynne Kast; two sons, Gary R. of Vienna, Va., and Peter L. of Williamsville; a brother, Henry E. of Williamsville; and three grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Beach-Tuyn Funeral Home, 5541 Main St., Williamsville.
