PET PROJECT: A REAL LOOKER

This male Shetland sheep dog is available for adoption Monday at the City Animal Shelter, 380 Oak St.

The 1 1/2 -to-2-year-old animal can be adopted for $57.50, which includes license, rabies shot, a free visit to a veterinarian and a voucher for neutering.

The shelter, which also has cats for adoption, is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Erie County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 205 Ensminger Road, Town of Tonawanda, has dogs for adoption for $65, which includes a rabies shot, neutering or spaying and a free visit to a veterinarian of choice. Cats also are available for adoption for $40. Adoption hours are from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday and until 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

The Niagara County SPCA Rainbow Animal Shelter, 2100 Lockport Road, Wheatfield, also has cats and dogs available for adoption from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Adopt-A-Pet shelters throughout the area have cats and dogs available. Call 686-9046 for information. Second Chance Sheltering Network has cats and kittens available for adoption. Call 652-6051.

HEART (Hamburg Eden Animal Rescue Team) has dogs and cats available for adoption by calling 821-1915.

The Southtowns SPCA, 1439 Pontiac Road, Angola, has animals available for adoption. Call 549-5300.
