Area police and private investigators are searching for a man with mental health problems who vanished after leaving his Lewiston home Oct. 22.

Dain Glenn Jacobsen, 26, took no money or extra clothing, according to David Hammond, an investigator with Peter M. Vito & Associates in Buffalo, who was hired by Jacobsen's parents of Fargo, S.D.

Hammond and town police Sgt. Alan Baird said posters are being circulated in hopes someone has seen Jacobsen, who is 6 feet, 2 inches tall with blue eyes, light brown hair and a medium build.

Anyone with information should Lewiston police at 754-8477 or Peter M. Vito & Associates at 881-1617, Baird said.
