Two Buffalo men were arrested Friday for allegedly stealing an undetermined amount of money during an early-morning burglary at DeSales Catholic School, 6914 Chestnut Ridge Road, Niagara County sheriff's investigators said.

Lawrence Lee VanGorder, 22, of Minnesota Street and Aubrey Hodge, 32, of Massachusetts Avenue, were charged with third-degree burglary, petit larceny and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

The pair allegedly broke a window about 1:24 a.m. Thursday and entered a school office where they took two metal boxes and a money bag.

VanGorder was arrested when deputies spotted him a short time later on nearby Cold Springs Road. Hodge was arrested about 10 a.m. on Garden Street in the City of Lockport.

They pleaded innocent in Cambria Town Court and were remanded to Niagara County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
