Starting today, the Niagara Falls Public Library and the city Youth Bureau are again teaming up for an effort to provide holiday gifts to needy children.

Called "Tidings of Joy," the program begins at the Christmas tree in the lobby of the main library, 1425 Main St. Visitors are invited to take an ornament off the tree. Each has a specific gift wish printed on it.

The participants are asked to return the ornament and the appropriate unwrapped gift to the library by Dec. 14.

The Youth Bureau will distribute the gift through Community Missions.
