Ruth Kowaleski, 66, a Jerauld Avenue homemaker who enjoyed camping, reading and cooking, died Wednesday (Nov. 25, 1998) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a brief illness.

The former Ruth Lasher, who was known as Mae, was born in Niagara Falls and attended Maple Avenue, North Junior High and Trott Vocational High schools.

Survivors include her husband, Harry Sr.; three sons, Ronnie of Lockport, Harry "Smokey" Jr. and Todd; two daughters, Dorreen Barnett and Penny Mylar; three sisters, Geraldine Masser, Gertie Dunn and Shirley Ann Christian; two brothers, Edward Lasher of Virginia Beach, Va., and George Grier; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:45 a.m. Saturday in Zajac Funeral Home, 319 24th St. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.
