2 ARRESTED ON RAILROAD TRESTLE

Two men were arrested Wednesday afternoon when police said they caught them crossing the railroad trestle that spans the State Barge Canal near Gooding and Market streets.

Brian M. Mulvey, 21, of 43 Pound St. and Alexander B. Powell, 23, of 243 Washburn St. were each charged with trespassing for using property of the Falls Road Railroad Co., Officer Paul M. Beakman said.

He said both men were arrested at the same time because they were both walking across the trestle, but they were not walking together.

The Falls Road Railroad Co., which operates on 41 miles of track between Lockport and Brockport, has posted warnings on its property near the trestle telling trespassers they will be prosecuted.
