Bleach splashed in the face of a 2-year-old girl during an argument between relatives Tuesday evening in a Birch Place home, Northeast District police reported.
Officers James Panus and Tim Wilke arrested the victim's grandmother, who police said threw the bleach, and her uncle, the intended target.
The girl was splashed on her face and in her eyes, police said. She was taken to Children's Hospital for treatment.
The argument occurred in 36 Birch Place, where police were dispatched at about 6:20 p.m.
Robert Triplett, 35, of that address, reportedly was threatening bodily harm to his mother and niece, in front of two young children and a teen-ager. Delois Triplett, 55, also of that address, responded by throwing bleach at him, police said.
Triplett was charged with reckless endangerment, endangering the welfare of a child and harassment. There also was a bench warrant for his arrest.
Mrs. Triplett was charged with reckless endangerment, endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful possession of a noxious material.
