Rachel Stra's sentencing for hindering prosecution in the investigation of her daughter's murder has been delayed again, until Dec. 17.

The prosecution asked Wyoming County Judge Mark Dadd for an adjournment of the Nov. 24 sentencing. The sentencing of Ms. Stra, 28, has been rescheduled twice since its original date of Oct. 1.

Ms. Stra's daughter, Samantha Zaldivar, 7, was sexually abused and suffocated by Stra's live-in boyfriend, Angel Colon, Feb. 25, 1997. As part of Colon's plea-bargain to second-degree murder charges, Ms. Stra agreed to plead guilty to one count of hindering prosecution. Colon is serving a prison term of 25 years to life.
