National Basketball Association star Dennis Rodman wants to annul his recent marriage, citing an unsound mind and fraud, according to court documents.
Rodman filed a petition in Orange County Superior Court in Orange, Calif., to have his Nov. 14 marriage to former Baywatch actress Carmen Electra, also known as Tara Patrick, in Las Vegas annulled. The petition claims the marriage can be voided because of unsound mind and fraud and that the separation began the day of the wedding.
The filing doesn't elaborate on the claims.
Rodman, a free agent who played with the NBA champion Chicago Bulls last season, couldn't be reached to comment, while Dwight Manley, Rodman's agent, declined to comment.
Two days after the wedding, Manley said the 37-year-old Rodman was so intoxicated that he "couldn't speak or stand" during the marriage ceremony at a chapel on the Las Vegas Strip.
Electra's publicist then released what she said was a hand-written note from Rodman that said he was in love with the 26-year-old Electra, who now appears on "Hyperion Bay" television show, and that Manley's statements were false.
The publicist, Cindy Guagenti, didn't immediately return a call seeking comment.
