Strategies to help Buffalo Public School students reach new state educational standards that are to be fully phased in by the end of 1999 will be the topic of an education summit from 8 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in Adam's Mark Hotel.

"Conversation on Closing the Gap" is a follow-up to a similar conference held last month. Highlights of the first conference will be reviewed.

Among the speakers will be School Superintendent James Harris and Ronald J. O'Brien, associate superintendent for instructional services.

The summit is being held to propose actions that can be taken to help Buffalo Public School students meet the new standards set by the state's Board of Regents. For more information, contact the public relations department for Buffalo schools in Room 713 at City Hall.
