Two members of the Fredonia State College men's soccer team have been ordered to appear before the Chautauqua County grand jury in connection with the alleged rape of a female student in early September, authorities said.

Village of Fredonia Police Chief Bradley Meyers said the student athletes have received subpoenas and are expected to testify on Dec. 2. "The grand jury will decide if there will be charges," Meyers said Thursday.

An 18-year-old freshman has accused the players of raping her during Labor Day weekend, according to authorities.
