Margaret J. McCauley of Buffalo died Monday (Sept. 28, 1998) in Sisters Hospital after a brief illness. She was 55.

Born in Durham, N.C., the former Margaret Steiner moved to Buffalo in 1983 and was studying for an associate's degree at Erie Community College.

Mrs. McCauley was a Cub Scout leader and den mother, and enjoyed needle point and crocheting.

Survivors include two sons, George T. II and Albert M., and a brother, Edward Steiner.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Sauer-Lynett-Amigone Funeral Home, 1933 Kensington Ave.
