Guido A. Celeste Sr., who retired from Certo Brothers Distributing in Niagara Falls, died Tuesday (Sept. 29, 1998) in Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, after a brief illness. He was 65.
Celeste was born in Niagara Falls and previously in the city's Cayuga Village area.
He served in the Navy during the Korean War and retired this year after working in the warehouse at Certo Brothers for 34 years.
Survivors include his wife, the former Cynthia Heinrich; five sons, John and Guido A. Jr., both of Niagara Falls, Michael of Norfolk, Va., Anthony and Matthew; a brother, Concegio "Joe" of Churchville, Md., and several grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Rhoney Funeral Home, 5893 Hoover Road.
