Arthur J. Dearlove Sr., 74, of Cheektowaga, a retired industrial engineer, died Monday (Sept. 28, 1998) in Genesee Memorial Hospital in Batavia after apparently suffering a heart attack while golfing.
The Buffalo native graduated from the University of Buffalo. During World War II, he served in the Army Air Forces as B-29 pilot in the Pacific. He worked for Harrison Radiator Division of General Motors Corp. in Lockport for 30 years until his retirement.
Dearlove belonged to the Attica Golf Club, the Cheektowaga Senior Center and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife, the former Irene D'Auria; a daughter, Carol Mynes of Austin, Texas; three sons, A. James of West Chester, Pa., Gregory of Orchard Park and David of Springville; a sister, Eileen Hoen of Michigan; a stepbrother, Donald Mueller; two stepdaughters, Irene M. D'Auria and Shirley A. D'Auria; a stepson, B. John D'Auria; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Dengler Funeral Home, 2070 Eggert Road, Eggertsville. Burial will be in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
