A teen-ager was gored to death by a loose bull after the boy tried to corral the animal in a barn.
State police said the bull got loose while 16-year-old Michael Avery was inside a barn at Nicastro Dairy Farm Sunday afternoon. Police said Avery was thrown and rammed into metal piping several times. He was pronounced dead from blunt chest trauma at 5:02 p.m.
Cross Nicastro, whose son operates the dairy farm, said he did not know why Avery was in the barn or how he entered. He said Avery was not on the payroll.
