A sister and brother were injured at 10:37 p.m. Monday when their car struck a tree at 7540 Chestnut Ridge Road, near Cottage Road, Deputy Maurice Britt said. Courtney Considine, 18, of 5374 Hollenbeck Road was driving the car, in which her brother Kevin, 16, was a passenger. She told Britt she was going about 60 mph in a 45 mph zone, when something entered the roadway in front of her. She hit the brakes and the car skidded 150 feet before going across a lawn, bouncing off the tree, and continuing another 21 feet before stopping. Both Considines were taken to Lockport Memorial Hospital. Courtney had a possible fractured ankle, according to Britt, while Kevin complained of head pain.
