ORCHARD PARK SETS HEARING ON VILLAGE ZONING LAWS

The Orchard Park Village Board Monday scheduled a public hearing for 8 p.m. Oct. 12 on a proposed local law that would "wrap up" the village's recently revised residential zoning laws.

Mayor Patricia Dickman said the changes would include removing businesses such as funeral homes, medical offices and "similar uses" to the newly created R-4 from R-3.

"We've already done a lot of work with R-3 zoning," she said, moving some of it into R-2, the revised R-3 and the newly created R-4.

In other business Monday, the board appointed Kurt Buranich village disaster coordinator.
