Eugene J. Jozwiak, an Internal Revenue Service agent for 31 years, died Sunday (Sept. 27, 1998) in his Depew home after a long illness. He was 73.
A Buffalo native, he graduated from Canisius College.
After retiring from the IRS, Jozwiak operated his own income-tax preparation and consulting service.
He was a member of Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, the Canisius Cage Club, the American Legion and the Polish Falcons.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, the former Dorothy Jezak; two daughters, Carol Ann Ernst of Depew and Janice Hejmowski of Lancaster; a son, Jerome of West Seneca; two sisters, Jane Matuszewski of Buffalo and Alice Zingierski of Cheektowaga; and nine grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 158 Laverick Ave., Lancaster. Prayers will be said at 9 in Wendel & Loecher Funeral Home, 27 Aurora St., Lancaster. Burial will St. Adalbert's Cemetery, Lancaster.
