A STARRY NIGHT AT THE PFEIFER

A single performance of "Vincent," a drama about the life and struggle of Vincent van Gogh, will be presented by the Buffalo Arts Studio at 8 p.m. Oct. 3 in the Pfeifer Theatre, 681 Main St.

Canadian actor Brian Gordon Sinclair will star as Theo, the painter's brother, in the one-man play. Sinclair has performed extensively with the Stratford Shakespeare Festival and has appeared with the Champlain Shakespeare Festival and the Factory Theatre in Toronto. He also has numerous film, television and radio credits.

The performance will benefit Buffalo Arts Studio, which gives emerging artists affordable space in its Tri-Main Center studios and galleries. In turn, the artists lead creative public arts programs in disadvantaged neighborhoods and help downtown through such initiatives as the newly unveiled Windows Project.

Community sponsors of "Vincent" include the University at Buffalo Center for the Arts, Magavern, Magavern & Grimm and M & T Bank. Tickets can be purchased at the door or reserved by calling 856-5650.
