Patricia Ann Kane, who retired recently as a registered nurse at the Erie County Home in Alden, died Friday (Sept. 25, 1998) in herWest Seneca Home after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. She was 65.
She was born Patricia Ann Crane in Buffalo and for a few years during the 1950s lived in San Antonio, Texas.
She graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1954 and was a member of the American Nurses Association and the Four Freshmen Society.
She worked at the Erie County Home for 19 years and at Abbott Manor Nursing Home for several years. She was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in West Seneca.
She enjoyed music, traveling, reading and gardening.
She and her husband, Philip, had been married 43 years.
Survivors also include four daughters, Maureen A. Orafig and Karen E. O'Brien, both of Albany, Sheila P. Pierce and Mary C.; six sons, Joseph M. of Tulsa, Okla., Peter T. of Westborough, Mass., Paul A., John P., Gerald M. and Michael F.; two sisters, Margaret "Honey" Jesse of Chicago and Nancy Crane; and 19 grandchil-dren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Catherine of Sienna Church, 4928 Seneca St., West Seneca. Prayers will be said at 9 in F.E. Brown Sons Funeral Home, 6575 E. Quaker St., Orchard Park. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lackawanna.
