A West Ellicott man was sent to Chautauqua County Jail Sunday after he allegedly shoved his girlfriend and her mother.

Sheriff's officers said Michael A. Wright, 23, of Merlin Avenue was at his girlfriend's home when he began shoving her around after an argument about 12:15 a.m. The girlfriend's mother tried to intervene, but Wright allegedly shoved her to the ground, then damaged some windows at the home.

He was charged with criminal mischief and two counts of second-degree harassment. Wright was jailed in lieu of $250 bail.
