The 39th annual Indian Foods Dinner sponsored by Jimersontown Presbyterian Church will be held Oct. 17.

The dinners will be served at three seatings -- 12:30, 3 and 5 p.m. -- in the Haley Building on Center Road.

The menu with Seneca Indian names includes: roast turkey (o-soan), mashed potatoes (o-no-noh-dah), gravy, green beans, cabbage salad, fry bread (ga-gwa-gi-dah), brine pickles (de-ga-ge-ka-donh), hull corn soup (o-no-gwah), roast venison (nho-geh), samp (o-sonh-weh), mashed beans (o-si-dah), fried salt pork (oi-ge-eh), buttered squash (o-seh-dode), boiled corn bread (ga-ghi-deh-doh) and pumpkin pie.

Reservations are advised. Indian crafts and baked goods also will be available. Dinners are $8 per adult and $4 per child ages 2 to 12. Reservations can be mailed to Jimersontown Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 525, Salamanca, N.Y., 14779-0525.
