War of 1812 Garrison: At Old Fort Niagara, demonstrations and programs on the British experience will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Included with the cost of admission to the fort in Youngstown.

Genealogical Meeting: Open discussion, from beginners seeking tips to seasoned researchers sharing successes, will be the format of the Niagara County Genealogical Society meeting from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Niagara County Historical Society, 215 Niagara St., Lockport.

Registration Deadline: For the Back to School Anti-Violence Talent Show to be held Oct. 9 in the Family Resource Building, 3001 Ninth St., Niagara Falls. Open to all ages in comedy, drama, rap, singing, dancing and instrumental. Sign-up fee is $10 for an individual act and $20 for a group. Cash prizes. Call 285-5381 or 285-6961.

Rummage Sale: And baked goods sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Hope United Methodist Church, Upper Mountain Road, Pekin. Bag sale begins at 1 p.m., lunch available.

Oktoberfest Bazaar: With a German Cafe, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, 6950 Ward Road, Wheatfield. Baked goods, crafts, country store, plants, used toys.

SEA & Do Festival: From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Aquarium of Niagara, 701 Whirlpool St., Niagara Falls. Local attractions ranging from Artpark to the U.S. Coast Guard present activities for children. Admission is $6.50 for adults, $4.50 for children age 4 to 12 and for seniors, free for children 3 and under.

Oktoberfest: German dinners served from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Eagle's Hall, 6614 Lincoln Ave., Lockport. Donation at the door is $5, food costs extra. Live music and dancers from 8 p.m. to midnight. Raffles and door prizes. For tickets, call 434-6658.
