SENECAS GET AID FOR JOBS

The Seneca Nation of Indians will receive a $325,000 federal grant to develop a vocational rehabilitation program, Rep. Jack Quinn, R-Hamburg, has announced.

The Gateway to Employment Program will service disabled Senecas living on the Cattaraugus and Allegany reservations.

Parents of disabled Senecas petitioned their Tribal Council to apply for the grant. Quinn said Senecas living in these isolated rural communities have been underserved by the state's Vocational Rehabilitation Program.
