Ruth Guizzotti, formerly of Buffalo and Cheektowaga, died Tuesday (Sept. 22, 1998) in Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo, after a long illness. She was 72.
She was a Wyoming County home health aide from about 1985 to 1988, working out of Warsaw.
"She was a loving mother of five who enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren," said a daughter, JoAnn Millar of Sardinia.
A native of Bell, Fla., the former Ruth Henley was married in Ocala, Fla., to Joseph Guizzotti, a Western New Yorker.
The couple lived on Buffalo's West Side from 1943 until 1951, when they moved to Cheektowaga. In 1978, they relocated to Eagle, near Bliss.
Mrs. Guizzotti moved to Varysburg after her husband's death in 1988. She moved again, seven months ago, to Delevan.
Other survivors include two sons, Charles of Buffalo and Joseph Jr. of Sardinia; two other daughters, Carmella Foster of Orangeville and Geraldine Long of Cheektowaga; seven brothers and sisters; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St. Burial will be in Eagle Cemetery, Bliss.
