Charges are pending against a 20-year-old woman who rolled her car after hitting a utility pole Wednesday morning in the Village of Westfield, police said.
April D. Alford of Central Avenue, Brocton, was driving south on South Portage Street shortly before 8:30 a.m. when she started to veer off the road. As she tried to correct the car, she hit a utility pole and the car rolled over and landed in the middle of the street, police said.
Ms. Alford, who suffered head injuries, was taken to Westfield Memorial Hospital, where she was treated and released.
Charges of having unsafe tires and failure to wear a seat belt are expected, police said.
