The American Institute of Banking, Regional New York Chapter, has elected Brian D. Hunt of M&T Bank its president. Other officers elected are: vice president-education, Bonnie Fox Garrity, Lockport Savings Bank; vice president-marketing, Sharon Nichols, First National Bank of Cortland; and vice president-at-large, Sara Meisner, Marine Midland Bank.

Millepede Cable Ties Ltd. has named Peter W. Klaich North American sales and marketing director. A plastics industry veteran, the Bowmansville resident most recently was vice president for sales and marketing of Novon International. Klaich also has been appointed to the board of directors of London-based Millepede, which has a manufacturing facility in Warren, Pa. The company produces a type of reusable cable tie that in 1994 won England's most prestigious invention competition.

Stovroff & Taylor Travel Ltd. in Williamsville has appointed Jacque Vernen director-meetings and convention planning. She will be instrumental in meeting planning and site selection for corporate clients.

Clover Management Inc. in Amherst has appointed Executive Vice President Richard A. Greenspan marketing director for Seneca Pointe, an apartment complex being built in West Seneca.

Building Controls & Services Inc., a Tonawanda firm that specializes in performance contracting and mechanical system service, has named Robert J. Mamon a mechanical service technician.

Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center has named Bart LaFaso Jr. to the newly created position of chief financial officer.

Sunbelt Business Brokers of W.N.Y. has named Rocco Notte the winner of its second quarter All Star Award that is given for attaining the highest performance level.

Connie J. Schmitz has successfully passed the Uniformed Certified Public Accounting Exam. She is a member at the tax department at Lumsden & McCormick.
