Distance learning is the key to the new bachelor of science in nursing program at Jamestown Community College here.
The courses are offered simultaneously at the South Campus of the University at Buffalo and at JCC. Millard Fillmore College of UB is also a sponsor of the program.
Robert Barber, dean of continuing education at JCC, said that 21 students have enrolled in the program, which meets on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
In another program at JCC, Alfred University offers a master's degree in professional studies with a concentration in community services administration.
This is designed for people interested in management, administration, and design of services in public, quasi-public and private agencies. Students learn about social policy issues, organizational behavior and effective management techniques.
