NHL Breakout '98, the National Hockey League's street and in-line hockey tournament/festival, will set up shop Saturday and Sunday in the parking lots of Ingram Micro, 1759 Wehrle Drive, Williamsville.
Admission is free.
Some 100 hockey teams from the area, in all skill levels, have signed up to compete in inflatable rinks.
There are also a variety of hands-on activities for fans, including puck-handling and shooting devices, a radar gun to measure slap-shot velocity and a goaltending demonstration.
Appearances by NHL players and some Buffalo Sabres alumni are also advertised.

The Buffalo Destroyers of Arena Football have entered into a five-year agreement with the town of Amherst to lease the New Road Practice Facility at 4415 Millersport Highway.
The Destroyers will pay for improvements to the facility, which also houses youth soccer and other recreation activities.
The Destroyers will begin practice in March 1999 for their inaugural season, which kicks off in May.
The Niagara Scenics Junior "A" Hockey Club announced several promotions and staff changes.
David Braunstein of Kenmore, the club's director of public relations and marketing, becomes the assistant general manager.
Paul Boguhn of Buffalo has been named assistant coach for defense, while Peter Preteroti of Depew is the new assistant coach for goaltenders and college liaison.
Greg Newman of West Seneca becomes public relations coordinator.
BASKETBALL: Teams are needed for open leagues in Cheektowaga and Buffalo on Monday and Thursday evenings. Call 839-9330.
FLAG FOOTBALL: Registration is today and Wednesday for NFL Flag leagues in Cheektowaga, open to boys and girls ages 6-14. Play begins Sept. 26 in two age divisions, 6-9 and 10-14. The registration fee is $37 or $29 with a resident discount card. Registration is at the Recreation Center Arena in Cheektowaga Town Park. Coaches are also needed.
