The board of directors of the Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency has approved site preparation work for the proposed Allegheny-Erie warehouse.
The work includes 1,100 feet of roadway and utility lines for water, sewer, natural gas and electric. The project may cost approximately $65,000, but is expected to attract other companies to the site, according to Randall Brown of the IDA staff.
Chautauqua County will pay for the work, but the IDA, which owns the land, will enter into the necessary contracts.
The IDA will pay about $115,000 to Allied Fire Protection Co. for a pumping station to maintain pressure for fire protection.
