Regina "Jean" Maikranz, 66, of 56th Street, who ran a sewing business, died Friday (Aug. 28, 1998) in University of Pittsburgh Medical Center after a long illness.
The former Regina Walker was born in Scranton, Pa., and moved with her husband to Niagara Falls in 1951.
Mrs. Maikranz had worked as a sewing teacher and sales clerk with the Singer Sewing Center. In 1972, she started her own business, Jean's Tailoring and Custom Draperies, which she operated in her home until her death.
She was a member of Flagler Chapter 355, Order of the Eastern Star, and several business and professional groups.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph M.; a daughter, Mary Washington; three sons, Paul, John and James; two sisters, Hazel VocKroth of Hanover, Pa., and Marguerite Summa of Scranton; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Lane Funeral Home, 8622 Buffalo Ave. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.[kwlk]
