Buffalo native Nancy Nicastro Fyvie, 83, of Schenectady died Aug. 22, 1998, in St. Clare's Hospital, Schenectady, after a brief illness.
Mrs. Fyvie moved to Schenectady as a child.
For 21 years, she was a telephone operator in Schenectady for New York Bell before retiring in 1976.
Mrs. Fyvie was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
Her husband, Robert J. Sr., died in 1990.
Mrs. Fyvie is survived by a daughter, Grace C. Wood of Schenectady; two sons, William of Schenectady and Robert J. Jr.; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services were held last week. Burial was in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schenectady.[pgntro]
