Lavinia Limon, director of the U.S. State Department's Office of Refugee Resettlement, will be the key speaker at the annual meeting of the International Institute of Buffalo Wednesday as part of its 80th anniversary celebration.

Since 1918, the International Institute has helped immigrants and refugees from all over the world resettle in the United States. Originally founded to help immigrant women and children, the not-for-profit social service agency resettles more than 200 refugees annually in Western New York and assists them in job placement.
