Genesee Country Village and Museum will hold auditions for "The New Legend of Sleepy Hollow" at 7 p.m. Sept. 18 at the education center in its museum, located on Flint Hill Road, Mumford. The one-act play is based on the Washington Irving's classic folk tale and will be performed outdoor at the museum Oct. 16 to 25. Many parts, including 10 non-speaking supporting roles and extras, are available. Auditioners should prepare a two-minute monologue (maximum). Technical positions are also available. The Aurora Players will hold auditions for "Me and My Girl," a musical comedy, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday in Hamlin Park Pavilion, South Grove Street, East Aurora. A large cast of adult men and women are needed for the late-October/mid-November play. Auditioners should prepare a song and wear appropriate clothes for dance.

Auditions for the Rotary Club of Batavia's 50th anniversary show, "The Wizard of Oz," will be held Sept. 13 to 15 in Batavia High School, 260 State St., Batavia. Adults and children interested in Munchkin roles should arrive between 2 and 4 p.m. Sept. 13. All other auditions will be held 7 to 10 p.m. each day. Chorus parts are also available. To celebrate its new website, CEPA Gallery is seeking digital artists for "Binary Exposures," a series monthly installations on its homepage. The Niagara Council of the Arts will regrant $31,000 in public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts to non-profit organizations in Niagara County. Also, one grant for $2,500 will be awarded to an individual Niagara County artist for such projects as residencies, workshops, exhibition or other artist-initiated activity. Application packets will be available starting Tuesday in the Arts Council office, 300 Fourth St., Niagara Falls. Workshops on grant application preparation (required for first-time applicants) will be held 5:30 p.m. Sept. 15 at the arts council, or 5:30 p.m. Sept. 17 at the Kenan Center, 433 Locust St., Lockport. The Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus recently elected Jeffrey Renzoni as president of its board of directors. Renzoni served as vice president for the past two years. Other elected officers are Lori Pacer, vice president; James Witkowski, treasurer, and Jeffrey Whiting, secretary. New board members elected are Karen Cox, James Derby, Joan Forman, Neil Mohn, James Pacer and Priscilla Weidl.
